One more ingredient into Holland’s rivalry with Germany

By admitting all his football genius, an act like this can never be justified. First one to react was Ronald Koeman’s dad Martin Koeman stating “That was totally uncalled for, You can’t play great football and win and then lower yourself to that”. Today while Holland lock horns against Germany in Amsterdam for the international friendly match, Koeman’s undignified act of wiping his backside using Olaf Thon’s shirt happened after Holland’s 2-1 win against Germany in 1988 European Championship in front of German supporters in Hamburg. This added more fire into the rivalry between Holland and Germany post world war two.
